Camp moment

“Yippee! I made it inside the target. I might try another one.”

I pulled back on the string. I stood motionless and shot the arrow. I didn’t get it inside the target but it was close. When I finished shooting my three arrows I had some on the green grass and some on the colorful target.

When all of the other people had a turn the teacher split us into two groups and she put two balloons on each of the two targets. We played a game called the Lord of the Rings. On the second round it was my turn to shoot three arrows. I had some on the black ring which was worth ten points and the rest of them went on the ground. Suddenly I heard a balloon pop. Someone had just got 500 points.

When all of the people had a turn we counted up the points and a big cheer went up from the other team. I guess that means they won.

The owls were hooting in the scary and dark forest. The leaves from the dark brown tangled tree branches fell and made a rustling sound on the muddy ground. In the dark scary forest the light grey path was curving like a wriggly worm. From the sky there was a little bit of light coming through the dark brown trees. When we went further the forest turned foggy and it was dark.

The sound of the owls hooting was getting more louder when we were getting deeper in the forest. This forest was scarier and spookier than the forest with the light grey path. Inside we could not see white but we could see black and grey. The trees were getting skinnier while we were getting deeper inside the forest. When we turn around one corner we see a big log cabin. Seeing the cabin makes us want to get in.

When we get closer to the cabin we see that the color is green and blue with yellow bright lights. We climb the stairs, we open the door, it makes a squeaking sound….
